an episode in a munchies series about hidden gems, this profile piece is about dat tran and his restuarant tong mein. assembling this piece involved relying heavily on the sit down interview to do a lot of the heavy lifting narratively, without making it too obvious that’s what we were doing. it’s a careful balancing act that works out to a video with a compelling story about dat.
